Our Ladies Aid meets the 4th Thursday of each month at 1:30 at the church. The group gets together for fellowship and devotion. As well as working on projects.
The Ladies Aid was organized on April 18, 1918. Several direct descendants and those through marriage are still members. Some interesting bits of news from the past: chickens and eggs were donated to Corcordia College students along with “eatables”. Cabbage and apples were purchased or grown and then canned and sent to Corcordia College. During the World Wars Prayer and Devotional Books were sent to the servicemen. This group has worked many farm sales over the years which helped support church projects, missions & community service.
Many quilts have been made over the years up to the current time. At first they purchased material and with donations, a quilt could be made for one to two dollars. Now they make the quilts from scraps of material donated by many people. They make quilts for World Relief: lap robes and coverlets for various nursing homes. Much wisdom and laughter has been handed down through the generations along with the fellowship of working with our church family.
At Christmas time they have a very nice Christmas party for all the women in the church.
